OpEd: Proposition 14 Offers Hope Against Dementia for Families

Proposition 14 is a vote for compassion, innovation and Texas leading the way in Dementia prevention and research.

By voting “yes” on DPRIT – Dementia Prevention Research Institute of Texas on November 4, we send a message that #Dementia is not an inevitable part of aging but rather a public health challenge Texas will take on, and lead.

We send a message that better understanding #ChildhoodDementia is critical to making progress against diseases like Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s.

With the creation of DPRIT, we can honor our elders, protect our children, and invest in a future where dementia no longer defines our lives.
